*************ABOUT THESE TEXTURES**********

This is a complete texture set to display the 747SP with Rolls Royce RB211 engines in the 1980s-1990s livery of Air New Zealand. The airline did not operate the type in the real world. The registration ZK-NZZ was worn by one of NZ's 747-200 aircraft in fleet service. The aircraft is named after Mt. Taranaki (or mount Egmont), a volcano on the North Island of New Zealand, which is in keeping with the NZ tradition of giving Maori names to aircraft.

Virtual fleet managers will be able to take advantage of the 747SP's longer range and much better short-field performance when compared to other 747 types. It gives the opportunity to fly the widebody out of Wellington [NZWN], which because of its short runway, is usually restricted to twin-engined types.

The aircraft textures are created from scratch by the author using the POSKY public paintkit. The cargo handling equipment is not part of the original paintkit, but is a repaint of textures produced by POSKY authors. The author reserves copyright on their modification and use. They are distributed as freeware and may not be used in whole or in part as part of another paint project without permission from the author. They may not be sold or used in any way as part of a payware package or profit-making enterprise. Note that copyright of the original POSKY authors extends over all elements that originate from the paint kit.

Many thanks to the dedicated POSKY team, whose efforts in creating the aircraft and public paintkit have enabled users to fill the virtual sky with versions of this grand old type, which is sadly disappearing in the real world.

Thanks (as always), to the POSKY forum members for hints and suggestions for improvements during the development of the paint project.

These textures have been developed using FS2004 and have not been tested with FSX.

Please feel free to drop-me an e-mail to let me know if you like the textures- or indeed if you don't- and please say why.
